Inclusive Practices Around the World

Inclusive Practices Around the World:
A Global Perspective

During the week of April 23-29, schools and organizations around the world will be engaged in activities to celebrate Global Action Week. The purpose is to raise awareness of the importance of Education for All, a United Nations initiative aimed at providing education for all children.  Global Action Week is a worldwide annual campaign organized by the Global Campaign for Education (GCE). This year's theme focuses on the first goal of the Education for All global initiative "Expanding and improving comprehensive early childhood care and education, especially for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children".

The Inclusive Schools Network joins the global community in celebrating Global Action Week by highlighting international inclusive education in this newsletter and on our website.

To find out more about this year's Global Action campaign: "Rights from the Start! Early Childhood Care and Education Now!" visit the Global Action Week 2012 website at globalactionweek.org.
